Route depends on the Gate you would like to take.

Pench national park is divided between two states

  • Maharastra
  • MadhyaPradesh

Maharastra

List of gates available at Pench on the MH side:

  • Chorbahuli
  • Khubada (Saleghat)
  • Khursapar
  • Kolitmaara
  • Surewani
  • Sillari (recommended)

MadhyaPradesh

List of parks (important) and gates available at Pench on the MP side:

1.Khana National Park

  • Sarhi
  • Kanha
  • Mukki
  • Kisli

2.Pench National Park

  • Touria
  • Jhamtara
  • Karmajhiri

How to reserve a slot for tiger safari.

You need to reserve a slot well in advance. Last minutes plans may not work out in Pench or Tadoba.

Maharastra : https://nationalpark.mahaonline.gov....ilability.aspx

MadhyaPradesh : https://forest.mponline.gov.in/Search.aspx

How to book Accommodation:

Make sure you book the accommodation which is nearer to your safari gate.

Some resort owners will book the safari for you. (this way is most preferable and less confusing)

Would recommend MPTDC Kipling's Resort.

Route and Road condition:

Hyderabad --> Nirmal --> Adilabad --> Nagpur

Hyderabad to Nagpur road is excellent. Once you cross Nagpur road condition is average.

After Nagpur you need to take the route depending on your gate.

Summer is the right season for easy spotting. Animals come out of forest for the water.

The safari guides can easily trace their paths. So spotting wildlife will be easy.

Would recommend you to check out gates around MPTDC Kipling's Resort. Dial them up.

They will be helpful in booking the safari.

Yeah we can do it as far as I know.

But check with the resort guys.

They will have latest information.

But you will enjoy more in a Safari jeep with high seating and better viewing angles.

Would suggest you to try out both.

Book both morning and evening safari.

Spotting wild life during rains is bit tough, but we never know.

Roads are fine nothing alarming,You will find many potholes on the road, but are manageable.

Do proper planning before you start.

  • Book the safari online.
  • Book your accommodation near your safari gate. Some times, there is huge distance between each gate.(you can ask the accommodation guy to book the nearest safari gate)
  • Decent food joints are available, till Nirmal and near Nagpur.
  • Start early in the morning to cover in a single day, without stress (5AM is ideal)
  • Accommodation guy will provide you the vehicle, for a charge.
  • Book at least two safaris, so that chances of spotting, wild life is high.

Hi, I had a plan to visit Tadoba last month and was told that the forest gates were closed for safari rides until Monsoon ends (October) by the resort guys.. Please make sure you confirm about the openings of the gates through a mail or call from the resort management before you drive down.. Please update us the present status if any changes.. Thank you :D

Thank you guys for sharing the information.

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City
      Fuel : Petrol
      Mileage : 15 kmpl
Hotel : OYO rooms (2000/- per night)

      Best Route 2016
      Hyderabad --> Suryapet --> Vijayawada -->Pedapulipaka --> Madduru --> Thotlavalluru --> Nimmagadda --> Avanigadda --> Nagayalanka --> Chodavaram --> Hamsaladeevi Beach

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
