Honor 7x performs very vell. Everything that i do in my DSLR can be done in my phone. Except sunstar because of aperture control.

Low light is not so good. Gives a lot of noise.

Your photos shot on iPhone?

As long as the light conditions are good, you won't find any major difference in mobile cameras.

Only in low light, you can find a difference between good and bad camera.

HDR modes have taken mobile cameras to next level.

It stacks multiple images to capture good details and reduce the noise.

Power of AI is taking mobile photography to next level.

I hope AI will be implemented in DSLR (future)

I'm bored of Nikon/Cannon/Sony, stopped using my DSLR from past two years.

Want see a proper DSLR from companies like Apple, Google and Samsung.

If that's the case, Apple will kill the market with it's design which is still imaginary. I somehow surely think it won't. But, this can be very much expected from Samsung and Google :)

Check out the google nighsight.
It is doing miracles.

DSLRS are dead in my opinion, unless you are serious into photography.

I think these brands are happy with mobiles, they mostly won't venture into cameras, which is already a dead market.

I don't think they're miracles. A photographer goes through a lot of thought process, experiments with multiple exposure settings, angles before taking a photograph.

These phones although good are taking the essence of photography. Just a tap on the shutter button and some random filters, a photograph is made. That's the true meaning of photography. Photography is capturing memories in it's true essence. These phones are creating plastic memories.

A true manually controlled photograph is true photograph. These are just plastic ones. So not miracles anymore.

And I don't think DSLR market is a dead one. If so by now big brands like Nikon, Sony and Canon would enter into mobile phones camera.

And there's no comparison between a mobile camera and a DSLR.

Mobile is full automatic which requires no effort and feel where as DSLR is a manual one and a device that should be controlled manually with a feel towards the art.

NO OFFENSE

No offence taken my friend.

I can say that i will agree with your points to a certain extent.

Every device has their own advantages/disadvantages.

I followed photography when i was young.

Recently, I have seen a major shift in mobile photography.

Most of the flagships mobiles are matching DSLRS in good light conditions.

Low light is where DSLR shine, but  Apple/Google algorithms made a huge impact in this area.

Let me compare low light photography.

Imagine shooting a wide area in low light, what you need from a DSLR?

1. Tripod stand
2. Wide angle lens
3. find a proper place to mount your stand
4. Remote

With modern flagships, you can take pictures hand held.

They are compact and you have them with you 24x7.
Quality may not be as good as DSLR but they are catching up.

In 2010, I agree that DSLR is way ahead of mobile.

In 2020, mobiles will eat into DSLR.

Very well explained buddy.

But I can't imagine myself shooting with a mobile phone with all touch buttons... Just can't imagine that. The feel we get when we hold a DSLR and the mighty zoom lens and then searching an area for mounting your tripod and an amazing image and appreciation from people is a whole different thing...

Isn't it?

And yeah, thanks for taking it in a positive way.

For me it is a pain. I used to do following things before a trip.

1. Charge your camera (every day)
2. Empty your memory cards
3. Carry a bad, with two lens

4. Change lens depending on angle

5. After the trip, copy pictures to a laptop, edit the raw images using lightroom.

6. Share it on travel platforms

With mobile
1. Point and Shoot
2. Edit it in mobile
3. Share it on travel platforms

90% of pictures are viewed on small screen, you cannot find any noise that is generated by mobile cameras.

Both are good in their own ways.
Advantages with mobiles? they are compact and easy to carry. We never miss a moment.

Dslr on other can generates sharp images, which cannot be achieved using a mobile.

I agree that people stopped buying Dslr,
They are expensive to buy,

Tough to carry.

But given a choice, I would pickup a Dslr over a mobile.

Nice one @rkamal. Waiting to go through your travel story :) Was it a road trip from Hyderabad ? A few more details if can provide would be helpful for everyone ..

Thanks @sagar went by flight as the tour plan itself was for 10 days. Our itenary was

Guwahati>Nameri National Park>Dirang>Tawang>Sangetsar Tso Lake>Tawang>Bomdila> Guwahati

In arunachal pradesh we traveled in Innova where some roads are excellent some are quite an adventure itself. but the greenery and cleanliness is so wonderful.

The whole trip was arranged by My Voyage Tours & Travels who did a fantastic job on arranging transportation, lodging, sightseeing. Highly recommended if anyone likes to visit the Northeast  :)
