Friends,

I need to do some minor painting work in my TOYOTA ETIOS (front & rear right side door bottom parts). I am looking for a good denting and painting workshop around KONDAPUR/GACHHIBOWLI HYDERABAD.

In google search , I found like SHREE VENKATARAMANA MOTOR near to RTA KONDAPUR ,DRY CAR CARE in MADHAPUR...etc with good review and rating. Any suggestion from all of you will be very much appreciated.

Normally I do the painting and denting works in HARSHA TOYOTA ,but I feel that their quality has been degraded over the years and they handle the cars very badly . Everytime I take my car to their showroom , I discover some dent and loss of paint in my car. Very dis-satisfied with their service. This time my CAR ANTENNA is missing after some repairing work.......??

Generally Toyota(Harsha) paint job is good.

My friend's Innova went in for multiple paint jobs, it never had colour mismatch/quality issue.

In-fact from last 5 year , my Etios has never gone to outside workshop other than Harsha TOYOTA.

However from last 2 year , I am observing such thing.

You will be surprised to know that  during one my repairing work the diesel meter reading from car was dropped down from 4 scale to 1 scale .

During my 4th serving there was new dent on front bumper which they repaired free of cost after complaint.

During 5th servicing the front right door was damaged.

They repaired in with 50:50 share after complaint.

Now my car Antenna is missing after that repair and will take my car tomorrow to their showroom for fixing a new one.

I am not sure if the above are isolated incidents or others experiencing the same.

I had a lengthy discussion with a denting/painting guy.

Colour mismatch is very rare now.

People are using colour codes now, previously they used to perform some mixing.

A potential (mid level shop) dent/painter can fix most of the cars.

Most of the manufactures give our cars to third party denting shops.

Did you speak to @Rajsuhas ?

I am looking for a full denting / painting for my Tia very soon, it has scratches and dents all over and would need work to be done on almost all the panels and quarters!

@Gowtham @sagar any inputs for me on the below issues

1) Should I get my car denting and painting (full body because almost all the panels have minor scratches) and then go for wrap?

2) Should I only fix 1 or 2 major dents that I have out of which 1 is worrying (rusting) and then get full wrap leaving remaining minor paint scratches as is because I am doing a wrap?

3) I understand that wrap is very sensitive and will tear off on vehicle rubs on our roads, Is it suggested that I get full body denting and painting done and then just apply wrap on roof, side mirrors etc., for the looks I am anticipating?

Thanks in advance for all your suggestions guys!

Hey @Sridhar Tandra, I would recommend you to take an estimate from the Tata service centre for your work to be done and if there isn’t much of a major difference, I would recommend you to go along with TATA. The only reason behind this is that, your car’s color has a metallic mix in its base and I’m skeptic if the 3rd party vendors would be able to match up with the original color.

I would suggest you to avoid wrap. You will become a target for cops.
Avoid repainting the whole body unless it is a must.
Check with TATA as suggested by sagar. Paint matching wont be major issues.

Stunnerz has decent paint booth. Compare the showroom quote with them. Check if you can claim insurance for at least one side.

@Sridhar Tandra , If you are going for full body wrap , then you have to get all your denting and painting work. Even with smaller dents, the wrap doesn't stick properly. And if it's just scratches, the wrap will not look good. Your car doesn't look like a new car.

You can go for roof / side mirrors wrap, @Gowtham must have had the idea that you are going for a full body wrap, when he said cops magnet.(Even I was thinking the same, until I read your last post.)

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
