Dear friends,
This is my very first travelogue in India Drive. Though I have made several trips, I didn't write anything up here.

Travel Date 03/31/2018 – 04/02/2018 from Hyderabad to Gokarna & Murdeshwar in Ford EcoSports.

This must have been one of the most exciting and in a way unplanned vacation, I had with my office team. Though we had marked the dates almost a couple of days ago, we were a little unsure till the last minute whether we wanted to really go to Gokarna or not.

Finally, on Thursday we decided to go and informed my team to come to office on Friday along with their luggage. Friday Morning, I had a good Sleep so that I can drive in night.

My team works in EST timings, so we planned to start our trip by 1AM but due to some work it got delayed to 3.00AM and Finally we hit the road at 3.15AM.

Route Taken:

Hyderabad - Mahbubnagar - Raichur - Sindhanur - Hubbali - Sathoddi Falls - Shivapura Hanging Bridge - Yellapur - Gokarna - Murdeshwar – Raichur -Mahbubnagar – Hyderabad.

Total Distance: 1600 kms

Yes, it is on the way to sathoddi waterfalls. Water falls are very deep into forest and driving was crazy.

This trip was very short for 2 days.

Road was good till mahbubhnagar and then we entered into hell and moved around 20kms very bad.

Road construction work was going on. From Raichur road was as usual with lot of speed bumpers.

We reached to sathoddi waterfalls around 2.00PM and spent some quality time, on the way back we went to shivapura hanging bridge.

While searching for accomdation i found white house beach resort. It is on top of hill and it gives experience of off road driving. It is tent accomdation but not near beach. You have to drive around 5kms to reach om beach or kudle beach.

I reserved it for Rs 1500 but they gave discount and finally paid Rs1200.

lol, I have to agree on this..
Even Bangalore to Mysuru is filled with speed bumps and barricades.

I think we should suggest everyone to choose Gulburga, Bijapur rout instead of Raichur rout from Hyderabad. Raichur rout we can't even touch 30/40 for some distance.

I have experienced Raichur road numerous times enroute to Goa.

It is a mess.

Will take a look at your suggestion.

Short and crisp travel log.

I wonder how you guys managed to drive so much in very few days.

It is a good share, place is pretty much unknown for many hyderabadies.

Thank you @uday. It was unplanned and we managed to cover some places :).

Their is a good Walk way to reach near Waterfalls along with some tiny bridges and forest view.

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City
      Fuel : Petrol
      Mileage : 15 kmpl
Hotel : OYO rooms (2000/- per night)

      Best Route 2016
      Hyderabad --> Suryapet --> Vijayawada -->Pedapulipaka --> Madduru --> Thotlavalluru --> Nimmagadda --> Avanigadda --> Nagayalanka --> Chodavaram --> Hamsaladeevi Beach

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
