Hi friends,

Was planning a road trip since long time and finally completed it in Dec 15 to Goa to celebrate our 1st marriage anniversary.

Started at around 2.30 PM from Kompally took a left from Dulapaly cross road and continued to Allwyn colony to pick my friends.

It took us 1 and half hour for us to reach the outskirts of Hyderabad.

Then we continued on NH7, paid the toll charge of 100/-, it was awesome road till Bhutpur.

From Bhutpur to Raichur road is average with little traffic. After Raichur we opted the route via Sindhanur where we planned to meet our childhood friend. Raichur- Sindhanur road is not really good with lot of traffic. Reached Sindhanur at 8.30 PM

After dinner at Sindhanur at around 10.30 we headed to Hubli where we decided to stay. Sindhanur to Hubli road has no traffic as was late night, its a really nice and calm surroundings, by 2.30 we reached Hubli. My friend wanted to drive continuously but we stopped him and took rest for some time in Hubli and started again at 5.30.

From Hubli road is really awesome till Londa junction with beautiful scenery on both sides of the road. We stopped at Londa junction for a break. After Londa junction , road is not at all good with lot of potholes and dust. It took 1 hour for us to drive around 25 kms. Then the ghat area started which is of around 19 kilometers. It was a 30 mins way. At Mollem we paid Rs 250 as entry fee to Goa.

By 9.30AM we reached our Hotel in Benaulim, South goa.

Route:

Hyderabad --> Bhutpur --> Raichur --> Sindhanur --> Hubli --> Londa --> Mollem --> Goa

Unfortunately I couldn't take much pics. But will make sure I will be more informative in my next post... :-) :-) :-)

Nice post Sam.

Click some pictures next time.

Goa entry @250/-,I felt it was bit high but after hitting the road I felt like it is worth it.

Road are narrow but are very smooth with nice curves.

Earlier it was very tiring at the last leg of the journey especially for Hyderabadies as most of the journey is on single lane roads.

Hey Karthik,

Sorry for the late reply. We stayed in a guest house named Minria guest house at Benaulim. Booked through booking.com website, tariff is Rs 800/night.

It is like a home stay with room with AC and wi fi, there is no TV in the room, rooms were clean and the owner is very friendly.

It is very near to beach and food joints..

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City
      Fuel : Petrol
      Mileage : 15 kmpl
Hotel : OYO rooms (2000/- per night)

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
