I have used many perfumes so far. Ambi pur, Aer, glade etc. From the beginning I am looking for a perfume which will give smell of new car. I love it. Even I got one, from glade, but it was nowhere close to the new car smell. Can anyone provide any lead in this regard? New car smell.

The glade I bought was somthing like this:-

Hey @pralay, Interesting post. Amongst the many I have used, I liked the AER best which I felt had more is better fragrant than many others. Others would just work for a time being and leave my car with the same old plastic new car smell which I usually don't like.

Hey @sagar.. I knew you will be replied buddy.. expecting reply from Gowtham as well ?

About Aer I liked it, even I like Ambi Aqua. But I am looking for something which will give new car smell. I am mad about it.

Its been almost a year, I am not using any sort of perfume. I feel, any foul smell can be easily detected without perfume. I keep my car clean all the time, so slightest of smell I can easily notice & address. But I will put perfume if I get one which gives new car smell?

Please inform where can I get that kinda car perfume

I started avoiding perfumes in car.
I had a very bad experience in my old Fiesta.

Few years back, one of my friend forgot Ambipure on my dashboard.
It was parked in the direct sun for a full day.
Perfume leaked out completely on the dashboard.

This used to be my favorite one.

I hate those gel perfumes, Personally I used to experience a head-ache during long drives.
Air vent perfumes are much better than gel based perfumes.

Now, I am using a nice deodorant in my car.(I don't have leather seats in my car )
I'm very happy with the outcome, spray when ever it is required. :D

1. Yes, even I heard of the same for air vent perfumes. It causes leaking & damaging the dash. That's why I switched to gel based air cone perfume AER. It will not damage your dash and you can pretty much control when can be used or not.

2. Even I have also experienced the same. That's why I dont put perfumes any more

3. Even I thought this quite a number of times. But seen a dangerous video in youtube, where co-passenger used a body spray & caught fire immediately. So buddy, better avoid it.

I have a solution for you. Few days back I asked Mr. Ram Kumar of K-Force Madinguda regarding New car smell perfume. Though he could not give any lead on that, but showed me a nice perfume. Its a strip, and you will have a liquid perfume. Essentially, you will spray on the strip outside the car & hang the strip in your car. That perfume being a separate bottle you need not to carry. He was saying a decent spray will last for 20-30 days. I guess we can try that, because we will have flexibility of fragrance, and you can use deo as well.

Now dont ask me how long that strip will work, as I forgot that ?

But please guys, let me know any source where I can find that new car smell wala perfume.

Agree with this point.
It is not safe to carry body spray in car, specially the ones which are pressurized (such as AXE).
But some of the new body sprays are not pressurized(shot).
I'm using them in my car from the past 3 years never had an issue.

I put it in the hand rest box, putting it in the dash board can be risky, since there is a direct sunlight from the front windshield.

Some of friends are using camphor and smell is excellent.
We used it a Duster during our Himalayan drive. Had a very good experience.
But I read it is too dangerous and can catch fire very quickly.

Will try this one.
These perfumes are getting very expensive.
Some them are close to 500/-

They don't last a month for heavy users.

Apart from cost I am not really liking all these smells. Few days back i tried coffee beans, by putting inside car.. dont even ask about the outcome ?

No smell whatsoever!! ?

Haha.. I'm getting to know some really good solutions to this now. I knew about camphor earlier and it works very well as gowtham had mentioned already. Now, from you I came to know about coffee beans :D

I think packed coffee / chickory powder will be more effective than coffee beans! But you need to ensure that you close that packet properly after each use, you just have to open it for a few seconds and close it with your external air circulator off!

ok will try it.. thanks.. ? but do you have any idea how to have smell like new car?

One difference with me is that, I don't want that new car plastic smell to hover around in my car and I'm just not able to do that. Lol ~ :D

May be, this had happened due to the following reasons.

1) Always left my interiors clean (Plastics and Leathers)

2) Hardly open my car windows ( only for the first 2 minutes before I start the car)

3) Regularly change my air filters

4) Never eat in the car

5) Wax the interiors while getting it cleaned

6) Never used a car perfume but only air freshners :D (The smell to this is very temporary)

@sagar: Great man.. very same rules I strictly follow, and make others to follow while entering into my car. Only things are:-

1) I open my windows untill I reach to the main road. It lets the fresh air to play around in car cabin, while not much dust before the main road. Whatever enters in I anyway clean it on a daily basis with microfiber cloth, after parking in office (even exterior as well) takes just 5 mins for me. Today at office parking just after I cleaned up my beauty and just before entering my office:-

2) I never waxed my car interior, only used dashboard polish once in blue moon. I keep my interior very very clean, so never considered to waxed it. May be will try as you are using it. ?

3) Neither I am using any car perfume nor the freshener, as my car never really smells bad. It is always fresh & clean

But badly looking for a smell like new car, it will remind me the day of car delivered, every time I get into it. ?  Let me know, if you found one.!!

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
