Guys

I have a question. I own a 2016 model Swift Dzire. The factory fitted headlights are poor by any standard IMHO. I initially opted for some better Philips bulbs which were suggested by the showroom guys and they were ok upto some extent. I want to know if we can get any better lights installed on my vehicle(something like Projector lamps). Please guide if anyone has any idea.

Thanks

Jagan

Hi Jagan,

Swift has many aftermarket options being a popular car.

I would suggest not to touch the headlamps, since it is crucial part of the car.
Work on the fog lamps.
There are many aftermarket projectors for fog-lamps(available under 5k)
I'm in similar dilemma for Civic. Even though Civic has dual barrel head lamp still the lighting is poor.

Option1:(cheapest option)
Get 100w bulbs with relay kit.
Will cost you around 1k+

Option2:(most expensive)
Get a proper projector kit, avoid cheap stuff.
Will cost you around 15k+

But I would suggest you to avoid this, If anything goes wrong on highway, it will be very tough to handle.

Option3: (safest choice)
Get a projector fog lamp.
Xenonplant guys have some cool fog lamp projectors.

Will cost you around 10k but they will provide you 1 year warranty.

Regular installers can get it for you around 5k. But Im not sure about the quality.

Let me know..about your choice.
We can do some research.

You can go for the LED' headlamps they are super bright and have a very good spread beam and are pure white in color. Please ping me personally for more details for the price etc.

Faizan,
Please share the details here.
Will can add some more members and can get some discount.

Can you also check with your source about the projector fog-lamps?

Well I would definitely recommend you to go for the LED's as in the leds which i export are cree chip LED's and comes with 3years of warranty. And it has a socket to socket fix. No need to tamper the headlights seal. And generally the imported leds comes with fan at the end for heat dissipation. And leds which i source has a aluminum heat belts which last long. And has a temperature of 5000kelvin. (pure white).

And the market price of this starts from 6.5k set of 2.

I can give a discount of 15% for ID members including installation. More over the warranty is for 3 years. Way longer then the branded ones.

Even i am also looking to change my lights for my swifty!

Sure I will let you know..
Recently, Vinit got fog lamp projectors in his Duster.

They looked good, worth the money.

Major problem with LED's is they spread unevenly without a projector.
One of my friend got it on his i20.. the spread is worst than stock head lamps.
Later he switched to 100w bulbs with relay kit.

Do you have any pictures of LED bulbs headlight output(without projector)?

Thanks a ton Gowtham.. I liked Option 3. But I would like to know if you know any sources like Xenonplant etc.. Share the details of the garages who can do this if you have the info handy..

XenonPlanet is little expensive.
If you can source the projector from AliExpress.
You can complete the setup under 5K.
I read about IPHCar/SINOLYN ,they are good brands.
Many offline installers are using them.

I am planning to get Tigor headlamps installed on my Tia soon! Let's see how this plan works emoji848.png?

That's a good thought @Sridhar Tandra. The only difference between both of them is that Tiago's standard halogen headlamp and the Tigor with a projector headlamp setup with a smoked effect for the lens.

The Tigor’s eyes to Tiago will definitely make it look more jazzier and also they’re capable in illuminating the road ahead better in the dark :D

i'm planning to upgrade headlamps from the past five years.

Still did not fix on any thing.

Do they have projectors?

Cheapest and most safest option is messing with fog lamps.

You can get projector fog lamps for 5k~6k, which will improve the lighting a lot.

Fog lamp will be Bi-Xenon, it will have both high and low beams.

Exactly! That's the plan, with the fixing done at the service center itself with a little contacts that I have gathered in this couple of years. This will calm my mind a little to get a better looking headlamps with projector setup!

Yes, Tigor Headlamps have Projector setup and the smoked effect on it's headlamp interested me in it!! This will give me better looks with better illumination without spending too much!! I understand from the Tata service guys that it will cost me about 5k, which is still fine! I am ok even if they charge me another 1 or 2k. Anything under 7k should be fine for me!

I am not thinking of this option as of now! unless I see some special and different fog lamps set with more power offered by Tata themselves on any other cars! I will check this option too with them for sure, looks like I can change the entire lamps in front!

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
