Great trip brother.
This trip is pending in my to do list.

How did the Polo perform.
Did you face any group clearance issues, due to poor roads.

Even I'm waiting for more pictures and details.

Hello bro ,
Great to hear that, there was no ground clearance issue at all ,the roads are really beautiful now until u reach kasol.
There was a problem of roads while going up to tosh valley from kasol, polo performed pretty well on those roads and there was no trouble.cf2144e954e71059dd42318610ce4a1e.jpg

sonushank Lovely pictures mate. I've done the same but in a Fortuner. Doing this in a Polo should have been quite a task. How did your trip fare? Could you share more pictures..?

Thank you bro :) it would have been more fun doing it in a fortuner. It was not really difficult doing the same in a polo as we wear only two of us and both of us could drive the car for long stretches. The car had no trouble after we getting back to Hyderabad also. 7f3b0a60da5abec72c01c1ac5fea25dc.jpg

That is one heck of trip, Great achievement. ;)
Your Polo looks breath taking with those mean head lamps.

How much do they cost?
I guess I have seen a similar Polo some where around Madhapur.
Im not sure, If it is your Polo.

Haha

Taking Civic on such a drive is going to be tough task.
Ground clearance and mileage are the biggest hurdles.

Ground Clearance can still be managed as per @sonushank if Polo can do it, It is all about the soft Suspension it has which will take it down, 1" aluminum spacers or Coil Spring Adjusters can help if it is not installed already on your car ;).. Mileage indeed is a toughest thing to handle

Aluminium spacers or coil spring adjusters would give that ground clearance but that will cut off my long journeys and will start getting body pains for stiff suspension [emoji4]

In one day and 8 hours, that is some serious driving.

How many drivers in the car?
How the road condition from Hyderabad to Delhi?

Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk

Yes :) , we were two drivers , the road condition from Hyderabad to Delhi is beautiful. All the roads are newly constructed . It's 4 line road but some part was under construction after jhansi until sagar. May be by now the road would have been done .

That was for @Ranger for his Civic since it has softer suspension bro, Installing Spacers and CSA's on Polo will not help, I drove Polo for a while.

Wont be much of help, tried them all.

Civic has 170mm ground clearance, Higher than many cars out there.
Soft suspension is defiantly a issue, but when it is fully loaded.

Most of the time I am alone or with co passenger.

My fiesta has less GC than civic, but it never got a belly hit, on the similar routes that I take.

Main culprits:

  • Approach angles, front and rear bumper over hangs.
  • Wheel base, Civic has one of the longest wheel base.

Even Polo had GC issues, On our India-Drive meet to Panchigani, we drove a Polo from Hyderabad to Panchigani on some of the worst roads.
On the entire trip, It took around 5~10 hits, Where as swift managed without any issues.

Yeah, Instead of driving Civic, we can rent a car drive to Kasol.

Will use suspension hub for ground clearance! But mileage is something that I have to think.[emoji14]

Great bro :) filled up my first 40 L(Rs 2400) in Hyderabad which got dried up in narsingpur (I.e 750 from hyd ) speed maintained at 110 km/h avg 75 km/h

Filled up next tank in agra of 32 L (Rs1856)

And next fuel up was at Chandigarh of 28L (Rs 1650) that's the fuel expense of one way trip and tools costed around 3000 till kasol. As we were two of us food cost was very minimal . After Hyderabad our food stop was at Nagpur wer u find good restaurants and food joints in the city. Avg 600 for two. Then we had no stop until agra wer we got refreshed and had breakfast . Good food in agra is costly then compared to the other cities. Would cost around 800 for two persons .

Visited places around agra for an hours and started journey. Our next stop would be New Delhi for lunch and met few friends of mine and headed to lunch along with them . And u could find small dhabas between Delhi and Chandigarh for snacks or tea. Dinner stop was at the outskirts of Chandigarh @gulmohar phase 2 (hotel Belmond park )cost @3000 for food and accommodation and rested for 4 hours started back . And next food stop was at arjith sing nagar outskirts @burger king on the highway (300 for person) and decided to stop our car at kasol and finished our dinner @resort we stayed at the riverside .

  • Fuel cost-6000/-(Diesel)
  • Food cost -4000/-
  • Accommodation-2000/-
  • Toll charges -3000/-
  • Total -15000/-

Wow.. I've missed out on some really interesting discussion out here.. Firstly, @sonushank  Congratulations .. What you have done is one heck of a roadtrip. Especially, your time line for doing this circuit grabbed my attention to the fullest. We should meet up soon bro.. Is that only the roads you have driven or did your schedule involve any flavours of treks and hikes as such?

Yes, I have heard about this scene on Malana. I think it won't last for long and will be open under an years time. That dive in to a natural hot spring up the Kheerganga is so blissful after a tiresome hike.. :photo: Just a nostalgic feeling :D

I hope these figures are one way.(Hyderabad to Kasol)

Total distance : 4000 kilometers (approx)

Estimation for Polo

Mileage : 20 KMPL

Diesel Price : 60/ltr

4000/20 X 60 = 12000/- (Total fuel expenses)
One way, it is 6000/-

@saran, Estimation for your Civic
Mileage : 10 KMPL

Petrol price : 70/-

4000/10 X 70 = 28000/- (see the difference

Need additional information on the headlamps. How legal are they? Would the cops bother you for having them?

Also, could you please tell me where you have got this done. I need to check on the compatibility; whether I can install the hid in my 2012 base model polo.

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City
      Fuel : Petrol
      Mileage : 15 kmpl
Hotel : OYO rooms (2000/- per night)

      Best Route 2016
      Hyderabad --> Suryapet --> Vijayawada -->Pedapulipaka --> Madduru --> Thotlavalluru --> Nimmagadda --> Avanigadda --> Nagayalanka --> Chodavaram --> Hamsaladeevi Beach

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
