Travel timings- started at 3:30 pm from Kukatpally and reached around midnight. Total time around 9 hrs including breaks.

Started off the evening to Bengaluru and was looking at Google again for directions, stopped by Bharat Petroleum on hitech city road and had a tank full. (Diesel rate ₹60.64), air checked.

Hit the ORR and was mesmerised with the sun setting.

Was pumped up hitting the highway again looks to be a great bonding with driving and get a kick n high driving.

In no time was on the ORR cautiously cruising in Lane 1 at 95-100 kmph.

Moved onto the Bengaluru highway in no time and was enjoying the drive. The only challenge was the heavy vehicle traffic and the trucks all over the road so had to be cautious and drive careful.

Almost, reached Food Pyramid in a couple of hours of drive and completing around 150 kms since starting.

After relaxing for a while and having good food n coffee started again on the journey. No pics this point forward as night has kicked in.

The over road was smooth with a interesting drive and went without a major rod or traffic issue until reaching Hebbal and it was a nightmare crossing this stretch.

Had a good journey with a few breaks in between and stopping for fuel topup.

Vehicle: Renault Duster

Make: 2016

Fuel: Diesel

Mileage: 16kmpl

Nice onesbhamidi. And no mention needed about the time which must have eaten up once you enter the Bangalore city.. [emoji4] But yeah on a serious note, Hyderabad - Bangalore is one of the best Indian highways..

Drive was overall good, maybe to blame the timing but the trucks occupied most of the road and there was a good amount of wrong route driving by tractors and bikes.

Good report. You will encounter most of the truck traffic till Kurnool. This is mainly due to the truck traffic to and fro Chennai - Hyd.

Post that the road really frees up and its a very good drive.

I hope once people start using the Hyd - Miryalaguda - Ongole - Nellore - Chennai highway more the truck traffic should reduce on the Kurnool - Hyd route.

And of course the vehicle being Duster, should have made your drive all the more comfortable.

You are absolutely correct.

People driving from Hyderabad to Tirupati started using NAM express way.

It is more preferable route than kurnool.

During long weekends cars traffic increased a lot.

Most of my IT friends started using blah blah or some other ride sharing App.

They are driving down from Bangalore to Hyderabad during weekends for free of cost.

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City
      Fuel : Petrol
      Mileage : 15 kmpl
Hotel : OYO rooms (2000/- per night)

      Best Route 2016
      Hyderabad --> Suryapet --> Vijayawada -->Pedapulipaka --> Madduru --> Thotlavalluru --> Nimmagadda --> Avanigadda --> Nagayalanka --> Chodavaram --> Hamsaladeevi Beach

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
