Hello!

I am planning for a leisure pilgrimage trip to Vemulawada, Kondagattu and Dharmapuri from Hyderabad with family for this weekend.

The plan is:

Day 01: To reach Karimnagar by noon on Saturday, rest for sometime and then start for Vemulawada around 3:30 PM. Come back to hotel in Karimnagar by 8:30 PM - spend the night

Day 02: Start around 8 AM and visit Kondagattu and Dharmapuri. Return to Hotel in Karimnagar for lunch. Rest for sometime and then start back. Should reach Hyd by 8PM for another commitment

My queries:

1. How is the road from Karimnagar to Vemulawada (can it be done in 45/60 mins)

2. Road condition from Vemulawada to Kondagattu (just in case we plan to cover Kondagattu on saturday itself)

3. Which route is better from Dharmapuri to Karimnagar - is it SH7 (via Dharmaram) or via Jagitial (I plan to take this route in the onward journey as Kondagattu is enroute)

4. Best hotel in Karimnagar for a comfortable stay as I will have 3 senior citizens + my 1 yr old daughter with me

5. Any suggestions on restaurants in Karimnagar will also help please

Thanks in advance!

Happy Driving to all the enthusiasts in the forum.

This will also take another one hour easily, but it is better to avoid and go via Jagitial on the very next day.

Take Jagitial route to cover kondagattu.

Hotel Pramita and Swetha both are good, we stayed at Pramita few months back, it is decent enough.

Both Pramita and Swetha has their own restaurants which are good.

Day1
Hyderabad to Karimnagar
Road condition is good, 80% is 4-lane and the last stretch is single lane.
You can easily do it in under 4 hours with breaks.

If you have time take a quick stop at Karimnagar dam. It is a decent place to explore.

Visit Vemulawada and retire for the day.

Day2

Karimnagar to Dharmapuri
Start early in the morning by 5:30am, take the following route

Karimnagar --> Kondagattu --> Jagital --> Dharmapuri

Road is single lane and decent. Whole stretch can be covered under 2 hours, excluding breaks.
Drive back home via Karimnagar, don't take Armoor route.
As you are going with elderly persons would suggest you not to checkout the accommodation, Come back to Karminagar by 11AM, take a break and check out the accommodation.

Drive Safe. All the best, Update us back once you are don with the trip. :)

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City
      Fuel : Petrol
      Mileage : 15 kmpl
Hotel : OYO rooms (2000/- per night)

      Hyderabad --> Suryapet --> Vijayawada -->Pedapulipaka --> Madduru --> Thotlavalluru --> Nimmagadda --> Avanigadda --> Nagayalanka --> Chodavaram --> Hamsaladeevi Beach

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
