Finally, this decision will be implemented. However, we need 1 more rule, as Trucks and Buses (heavy vehicles) should not enter the Car lane. I am also interested in knowing the mechanisms we have in situation where the vehicle has fasTag but not enough balance or zero balance; they ultimately pay in Cash or start re-charging the Tag and delay the movement of vehicles behind. Although, this generally happens with Trucks, and they very well enter the car lane to block the flow of traffic.

This is the biggest concern. Tags with zero balance should offer over draft with a warning.

There are numerous cases of fraud by toll operators stating tag is not readable. One should pay double amount.

Absolutely agree with @Kshitiz
This scene always happens. There has to be an exclusive lane for the heavy vehicles.

I doubt if this is going to work.

Hi all,

I completed my road trip to Hampi this weekend. Here are few observations related to tolls:

  • Cash payment is still on-going (Raikal and Shakhapur Tolls on Bengaluru highway); don't know if they were really charging double or not.
  • Gangavathi-Sindhanur tollways were Cash only, at both places 1) Sindhanur-Gangavathi road, and 2) Jabbalguda-Gangavathi road. I used Hospet -NH50-Gangavathi route during return trip. Looks like state highways are yet to implement FasTag.
  • Buses and trucks are still entering into LCV/Car/Jeep Lane; however, movement was fast.
  • I got an overdraft of Rs 25/- 🙂  at nanakramguda toll. My Fastag wallet was low on balance and I did not realize. As soon as I crossed the toll, I received SMS/notification on my eToll icici app that my fastag has been blocked, and minimum recharge amount is Rs 100/-

Hope this information would be helpful

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
