How to improve headlights and tail lamps?

Hey guys..

I think my Honda City lights are not bright enough compared to other cars of the same segment and also lower segments. Even though I switch on high beam the visibility is not clear in roads without streetlights.

This is the picture of my car taken in the early morning hours 6:45. We can't even see the redlight. Compared to this my WagonR lights are far better.

I don't know whether it's same for all City's or only mine, but I'm not satisfied with the lights. Any alternative recommendations?

Hi Krish,

Just by looking at the pic it seems to be a real problem, get the fuse & switch inspected.

In 2014 I had a friend who faced the same issue, it was resolved by service center guys without any extra cost as fuse was faulty.

Electrical wiring in Honda vehicles is bit sensitive, even installing a cigarette lighter can damage the fuse and internal wiring.

Thanks
Sai

Head lamp

It is easy to upgrade head lamps,  most of the cabbies and heavy highway users, upgrade the headlamps.

Stock bulbs are fine in city usage, but out on highways, they are not sufficient.

You can upgrade the bulbs to 100/90 with relay kit.

It will cost you around 1k~2k and there will be good improvement.

Tail lamp

Honda city tail lamp is very bright.

Try to compare with other honda city on road.

If it is dull, visit service centre.

PS: Please don't use high beams in city. [emoji4]

Hi krish,

This issue should probably be with the high beam optics as they spread the light in a wide area instead of concentrating it in front of you. I had recently come across a honda city which was fitted with projectors from Genome. They come with 1 year warranty and cost around 30K INR. but, I find the projectors a bit too expensive and I would rather suggest you with the HID Kit in low beam and high beam in approx. 20K.

20k is way more expensive..

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
