Hi,

I am planning to drive from Bangalore to Prayagraj via Hyderabad, Nagpur, Jabalpur, Rewa.

I will be travelling in my Hyundai Grand i10.

Can someone please help me with the road conditions and what could be the possible stay overs?

Any suggestion is really appreciated.

Regards,

Kunal Goel

You can try this route :  Hyderabad - Nagpur - Seoni - Lakhnadon and then Jabalpur - Katni - Rewa

Thanks. How is the route from jabalpur to rewa. Is it good enough for hatchback.

The roads are excellent till Nagpur and a mix of average to good conditions between Nagpur to Rewa. No major hiccups inbetween. Grand i10 can comfortably do it.
Plan for a night stay at Nagpur.
Please do share your latest update once you are done with your trip..

Drive safe.. cheers!

Bangalore > Hyderabad > Nagpur has excellent roads.
Take Hyderabad ORR to avoid city traffic.
Start early in the morning and plan your stay at Nagpur.

May be stretching till Nagpur wont be feasible with family. I will give a shot though.

Any recommended stays on the way?

There are very limited hotels between Hyderabad to Nagpur.
It is better to plan your stay ether in Hyderabad or in Nagpur.

Bangalore to Nagpur in a single day can be hectic. With proper planning it can be done in a single day.
Single driver and with family, it is better to take a halt in Hyderabad.

If you are fine with average hotels for a quick nap, Nizamabad is the ideal stopover.

Two days plan:
Bangalore > Nizamabad
Nizamabad > Prayagraj

Three days plan:
Bangalore > Hyderabad

Hyderabad > Nagpur

Nagpur > Prayagraj

I wouldn’t say that the entire road from Hyderabad to Nagpur is excellent (by South Indian Highway standards, at least).

I travel in a Polo and I wrote my assessment of the road condition last July in this post:

I did the same route (Hyd Nagpur) 1 more time, in early Oct 2020, and not much has changed.

The main takeaway is be cautious from the moment you exit Telangana. All the way upto the Traffic Signal at Jaamb where you take a 90 left towards Nagpur. The road in that stretch presents you with sudden bad potholes which can be really bad for low ground clearance cars like ours.

Best to get past that signal while there is still daylight.

good luck, safe travels!

Started on 12th-Feb-2021 from Bangalore and reached Prayagraj on 14th-Feb-2021.

We started around 8 AM (pretty late) from Bangalore and reached Heyderabad around 8 PM. There we stayed in Raddisson Blu. The stay was good.

Next day we started from Hyderabad at 8 AM, and reached Nagpur around 5 PM.

Third day we started from Nagpur at 6 AM and reached Prayagraj before 6 PM.

The roads from Bangalore to Nagpur was fantastic. There were couple of diversions and one real bad patch of road. Other than that I didnt find any trouble.

From Nagpur to Satna again the roads were fantastic, only between Satna and Rewa there is a stretch of 40-50 KMs which is single lane. From Rewa till Prayargraj again there was damn good roads.

Overall awesome journey and awesome roads. I wish we had more time to experience local cuisine but that came at the cost good roads.

Thanks you so much for sharing your update @aquakunal.. Any idea about the total toll costs of your trip (one way) and Night stay site in Nagpur if you wouldn’t mind mentioning?

Didn't check on toll exactly but total toll one side should be approximately 1500. Between hyderabad nagpur i didnt see any restaurants but there were few good dhabas. I tried in Kargil dhaba.

In nagpur we stayed in hotel Hardeo. The Le Meridian was sold out for the day. Hotel is near nagpur railway station its good but does not have campus parking.

Hi..I travelled from Nagpur to Jabalpur in October 20 on the way to Prayagraj and  encountered a diversion between Pench and Seoni taking me to Balaghat then to Seoni and was around 100 kms detour. Can anyone confirm the status of that diversion as I am planning to travel back to Hyderabad from Prayagraj.

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City
      Fuel : Petrol
      Mileage : 15 kmpl
Hotel : OYO rooms (2000/- per night)

      Hyderabad --> Suryapet --> Vijayawada -->Pedapulipaka --> Madduru --> Thotlavalluru --> Nimmagadda --> Avanigadda --> Nagayalanka --> Chodavaram --> Hamsaladeevi Beach

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
