Thank You All.. I will share the travel update soon..

Start early in the morning. First half of roads are better than second half. You can cover lot of kilometers in the morning stretch.  Please update us when you complete your drive. Thank you in advance.

Guys, did a trip Hyd to South Goa in Dec ‘20... if you are using google maps, please ensure you do not deviate from NH. Google has a tendency to take the shortest route and will divert you to a SH which will be in really bad shape.

so take the route as mentioned, but don’t feed the entire route in google maps. Phase 1 feed Gulbarga, reach there , then feed next destination & then the next. Drive safe, carry food / water can, I traveled with my wife and 2 kids ( 7 & 12 )- car was MG hector automatic.

Thank you all for the information shared.

The trip was wonderful and the route map shared was helpful.

I started at around 5 PM in the evening on Friday Jan 22nd and followed the route map as mentioned in the post by our forum members.

Hyd – Zaheerabad – Bagalkot – Belgaum  - Mollem – Anjuna Beach Goa

I drove over night and reached hotel by 6:20 AM.

20 KMS patch is not that great but manageable. Overall the road is good.

Its good experience post the pandemic.

That’s so glad to hear about your fun trip. Which part in Goa have you picked to stay at? If you could share a few details on the accommodation and it’s pricing.. it would be of good help to the members..

TIA!

One of my friends did this route yesterday.

Hyderabad > Gulbarga > Bagalkot > Belgavi > Anjuna (Goa)

Roads are decent according to him, avoid Raichur road.

Hi Friends Thanks for sharing the details of the Route Hyd-->Zaheerabad-->Gulbarga-->Bagalkot-->Belgaum-->Mollem-->Goa. I went into Google Maps and took the distance and timings based on each destination from Hyd to Goa for above Route. When I caculate that total distance and timing it is coming 785 Kms and travel time of 15 hrs plus. Based on the feedback above some folks have travel in 11 to 12 hours i am thinking how is that possible.

Kindly advice if i am missing anything at my end the way it was said to put destination by destination so that we dont deviate from NH. Kindly advise if it takes 15 hours and 785 kms. I am planing to travel on 25th Dec by Road hence seeking your advice for the best route and total time required if i leave around 4 a.m. maintain speed to 80 to 100.

It will take 14 hours+ without any doubt, based on food and bio breaks.
Multiple drivers and night drive can shave off an hour tops.

Hyderabad to Goa routes keep on changing, times fluctuates a lot.
One monsoon can change entire timing stat.

In 2010, we did Hyderabad to Goa in 12 hours.
In 2019, It took us 15 hours+, even though we are multiple drivers and driving a better car.

Hyderabad to Goa drive is always a mess, you drive through numerous villages and come across plenty of speed bumps, list is endless.

Which 20kms were rough? was it not covered in NH?
Any possibility to avoid it?
Also, driving Goa ghat in night wasn't risky? is it okay?

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City
      Fuel : Petrol
      Mileage : 15 kmpl
Hotel : OYO rooms (2000/- per night)

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
