Hyderabad to Amaravathi route (best route 2017):
Hyderabad --> Narketpally --> Mirayalaguda --> Piduguralla ---> Sattenepalle --> Amaravathi

Hyderabad to Piduguralla : 4-lane excellent road.
Piduguralla to Amaravathi :2-lane average road.

Beautiful pics there, I guess, this can be covered in 1 day from Hyderabad. Any Idea how Undavalli Caves are ?

One time visit.

You can cover those caves, while covering some other place around Vijayawada.

It will take around 1 hour to cover those caves.

Caves are very tiny.

In my opinion, one cannot call them caves.
