Hyderabad to Coimbatore

Plan is to visit coimbatore on 29 sep 2019, sunday 

Suggest some stop-overs or good restaurants enroute. also Hyderabad to Coimbatore is possible to do in a day?

It is completely 4-lane toll roads.
Roads are good through out the drive. 

 

Can do it in a single day. 

If you are a single driver, take a nap once you cross Bangalore. 

Roads are good to drive even during night.

 

Start early in the morning from Bangalore.

You can find plenty of decent hotels on highway.

Thanks for the info. what's your suggestion for starting time from Hyderabad? i was thinking 4 AM. or should i start much earlier?

4AM is decent.
Bangalore traffic is the Major hurdle. 

If you get stuck you will waste lot of time. But it is unavoidable.

in that case i'll start late night and cross bangalore early morning and take a break near salem and drive-on. Thanks!

@gauravs79 roads are excellent. banglore highway is one the best in country. i'll update the other details in this thread. 

@Ranger   Hi, small info. To cross bangalore by early morning (4-5) what time i should start from miyapur, Hyderabad? Which place is ideal for a break? pls advise. Thanks!

Late night, it takes around 7 hours. With less breaks. 

During weekends traffic is high till kurnool, even late nights.

If you are planning to cross Bangalore by 4 AM, Kurnool is possibly your last best stop for late dinner or to use washrooms.. Food Pyramid or Amazon kitchens or Kritunga are few decent options on the highway that I would recommend

Started at 4 am at miyapur we reached anantapur clubruru for breakfast at 9:30. food was good aswell the service. started there from 10 am and reached the banglore outskirts by afternoon, till now roads are excellent, abke to maintan 80-100 kmph, We took the left route from devanahalli through sarjapura road and reached hosur for lunch around 3:00 pm. this stretch of road is narrow and filled with traffic at few junctions, but quite scenic. im attaching the map image for reference. from hosur roads were quite good but the traffic was hectic, heavy vehicles occupying all the lanes, not giving way...all this continued all the way till coimbatore. salem to coimbatore is excellent, reached home by 9 for dinner after a refreshing badam milk at the bakery/teashop in outskirts of coimbatore. overall a fun drive. Now my longest distance covered on a single day drive is 960 km. (earlier it was 550 Km - hyd to aurangabad) cheers!
