Hello Everyone,

I would like to plan the Road trip on this August 14th.

Day 1- Hyderabad to Srisailam (on the way mallela theertham)

Day 2- Srisailam Local

Day 3- Start to Mahanandi -- stay in mahanandi or start to Ahobhilam?

Day 4 - Ahobhilam -- Hyderabad

Please suggest is this fine or an compress this plan. or can we add any other stops.

How about the road condition from Srisailam to mahanandi.

Can we get accommodation in Mahanandi or ahobhilam ?

Thanks in Advance.

Regards

Subhash

One of the biggest problems is accommodation.

Make sure you prebook the accommodations.

It will be tight in both Srisailam and Ahobilam .

Expect over crowd in all the locations.

Day 1 : Hyderabad to Srisailam

Start early in the morning. You will reach by 11 AM.
Complete the rituals. Explore around.

You need to take lot of steps to visit Mallelatheertham.

I feel that one day is good enough for Srisailam.

Day 2 :

Explore around Srisailam.
Drive down to Mahanandi temple.

Plan stopover at Ahobhilam.

Day 3:
Take a guide and go on the Ahobilam forest trek.

It is beautiful during monsoon.

Day 4:
Drive back to Hyderabad via Bangalore highway.

Based on accommodation availability you can change the plan.

Roads are good, you wont feel them hectic since the distance is less.

Single lane roads. Not suitable for high speed cruising.

Return drive will be easy, since you will the Bangalore highway.

You can cut short the trip to three days, go on a short trek in Ahobilam and drive back on the same day.

I feel Ahobilam deserves an overnight stay .. A short trek into the forest is the best at this place. But make sure of your accommodation being booked in advance if you are travelling to Ahobilam as there are limited options.

Drive safe and Keep revving!

I would suggest this plan

Day 1 - Hyderabad to Srisailam (on the way mallela theertham)

Day 2 - Start to Mahanandi as there isn't much around Srisailam and cover Mahanandi with overnight stay at APTDC / Haritha Mahanandi

Day 3 - Start to Ahobhilam early morning, reach there finish off darshan's at both diguva and eguva Ahobilam and trek to old temple post lunch, return back to stay (try to book APTDC / Haritha Ahobilam)?

Day 4 - Ahobhilam -- Hyderabad via Bangalore Highway

You can also do this, this will be much easier

Day 1 - Hyderabad to Srisailam (on the way mallela theertham)

Day 2 - Start to Mahanandi as there isn't much around Srisailam and cover Mahanandi (Check for temple timings) and proceed to Ahobilam with overnight stay at APTDC / Haritha Ahobilam

Day 3 - Finish off darshan's at both diguva and eguva Ahobilam and trek to old temple post lunch, return back to stay

Day 4 - Ahobhilam -- Hyderabad via Bangalore Highway

It is good, you take regular Hyd Srisailam while going and take Dornala - Atmakur route while returning on your way towards Mahanandi, there is an alternate route which goes through Dornala - Giddalur but take Atmakur route to get on to Nandyal road which I feel is faster and better

Instead you should have taken Banaganapalle - Nandyal - Kurnool, it would have been even better, Internal roads between Banaganapalle - Betamcherla until you take left on to Orvakal is not so good with so many villages!

Is this the same trek that leads to Ugra Stambham inside Forest? If yes, how tough was the trek level? can this be easily done by kids too? Heard mixed inputs on trek level for this destination.

Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City
      Fuel : Petrol
      Mileage : 15 kmpl
Hotel : OYO rooms (2000/- per night)

      Hyderabad --> Suryapet --> Vijayawada -->Pedapulipaka --> Madduru --> Thotlavalluru --> Nimmagadda --> Avanigadda --> Nagayalanka --> Chodavaram --> Hamsaladeevi Beach

Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
