Hyderabad to Guntur routes

1.Hyderabad --> Suryapet --> Vijayawada--> Guntur

Previously,this is the most preferred route. 4-lane all the way from Hyderabad to Guntur.

Now Vijayawada roads are getting relaid and the city is complete mess. You will easily lose 1 hour + in the city.

2.Hyderabad--> Nagarjuna Sagar --> Macharla --> Piduguralla --> Sattenapalle --> Guntur

This route is mostly single lane. In my opinion you can completely avoid this route.

Only advantage taking this route, you can cover Nagarjuna Sagar dam en-route.

3.Hyderabad --> Nalgonda --> Piduguralla --> Kondamodu --> Sattenapalle --> Guntur

Currently this is the best route.

Hyderabad to Kondamodu : Complete 4-lane, you can cruise above 100 easily.

Kondamodu to Guntur : 2-lane average road.

Overall route3 is the best route.

Thank you for sharing.

I regularly take Vijayawada route.

Last week I have taken third route i.e via Piduguralla.

I saved around 1 hour for sure. Road from Hyderabad to Kondamodu is amazing.

Kondamodu to Guntur is bad state.

My favorite choice will be via Vijayawada only.

Third route is a life saver!! If they lay proper road from kondamodu to Guntur, then third route is a complete drive relief to all the drivers!!

Has anyone took this route? What is the present road condition from kondamodu to Guntur?we are planning to take this route this month!!

We used to take first route and To cross the Vijayawada traffic It will atleast take 1hour near kanaka Durga temple!!

Nagarjuna sagar route is very dangerous during nights especially!! All the private travels go on this route to save time!! Guys it is safe to avoid this route!!

Hi,

Last week I had been to Guntur through route 3 (3.Hyderabad --> Nalgonda --> Piduguralla --> Kondamodu --> Sattenapalle --> Guntur). Though the road condition is good, I needed to face lot of autos and bikes traffic frequently at many spots and sometimes in opposite direction also. In return I chose route 1  (1. Guntur --> Vijayawada --> Suryapet  --> Hyderabad) to reach Hyderabad. I personally feel that route 1 is best compared to other routes.

Thanks

      Hyderabad to Hamsaladeevi Beach - A hidden Paradise

      After a long wait for the December trip, we kick started our vacation to the most beautiful Hamsaladeevi beach located in the Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.

      Usually many of them skip this place due to lack of accommodation, but you will find a decent stay in Vijayawada which is around 80 kms approximately from Hamsaladeevi. It is definitely worth travelling so far to see the beauty of this Sagara Sangamam, where river Krishna meets the Bay of Bengal.

      We started at an early hour from Hyderabad and reached Vijayawada by 10 AM and checked into the OYO hotel. There are no food joints available at Hamsaladeevi beach so we packed the lunch from the hotel and headed out. Vijayawada to Hamsaladeevi drive took us 3 hours with some breaks.

      Hamsaladeevi village is 24 kms away from Avanigadda and we reached Hamsaladeevi by 3 PM. After a long drive from Hyderabad, there was an adrenaline rush gushing out to see this most beautiful place and couldn't wait to snap the sandy beach and the 'river-beach' meeting point. This point is 2 km away from the beach (From Hamsaladeevi village, beach is 4 kms) and we drove our car on the beach side shore to the port to see the confluence.

      Distance : 376 km
      Ride: Honda City
      Fuel : Petrol
      Mileage : 15 kmpl
      Hotel : OYO rooms (2000/- per night)

      Hyderabad --> Suryapet --> Vijayawada -->Pedapulipaka --> Madduru --> Thotlavalluru --> Nimmagadda --> Avanigadda --> Nagayalanka --> Chodavaram --> Hamsaladeevi Beach

      Note: Don't take any diversions from the mentioned route else you might end up between bad conditioned roads and longer distances as you pass
