  2. Hello All I am back with a recent family outing that we did since lockdown. Family members were also at their peak frustration sitting at home for so many months and were badly looking for someone to take them out which gave us the thought of this family outing. We initially planned to drive to Vikarabad / Ananthagiri but then plan got changed at the last moment to visit Bodakonda / Sagar / Ethipothala since most of our family members have been to Vikarabad. 4 of our organizing committee folks have visited Bodakonda falls on 2 wheelers on Saturday which is kind of reckk

When the only Indian who has scaled Everest Sumit solo says ‘it’s only a trek ‘ , note that his definition might vary from your’s I did many things that I did not plan to or thought was capable of - scaled the cliff , cane down rappelling and got to the road trekking. The team is fantastic ! They are very encouraging and the kindest strangers I had a chance to hang

  4. We were literally frustrated due to lockdown and were looking for a short drive in the month of June. Then we got information about safe location - Ranganayaka Sagar reservoir. I checked with my Baleno group BOCH ( Baleno Owners Club Hyderabad) and found one more couple for ride. We started from Hyderabad at 7 am and reached by 10 am. Being 100 km away from Hyderabad you will find less crowd on weekends. But if you really want to enjoy plan travel on weekdays. Road condition from Hyderabad to Ranganayaka Sagar: Roads are excellent till reservoir. Distance is around 115 km.

  5. Exactly , they should realize that India is a price sensitive market. And , they should try to get profits from volume and not margins. Never heard "Honda" and "Pathetic" in the same sentence before. Shows the refinement and ride quality offered by EV's. That's exciting. 1000 Kms EV trip. Hope in India too we will have similar infrastructure. Just like filling stations , EV chargers stations has to be set up with local private partnership. The break time is very nominal. even without a Tesla(Specially travelling with women and kids), we take

  6. Thank you for sharing the wonderful post. I am also looking for a EV scooter for my dad. But he is reluctant to move away from Activa. Ather looks promising but the pricing is unbelievable. If they want to be Tesla of scooters in India, they need to bring down pricing. Pricing need to come down. Electric is future without any doubt. Until I drove Tesla, Im not keen on EVs. Once we drive any electric vehicle, combustion engines feel very crude. Power on EV feels very addictive. I am using my BIL's Tesla from the past three months. Last week I had to short-gun o

  7. Is it wise to invest in under construction apartment projects in Kollur. Completion period is 3.5 to 4 Years from now. If so what is the best price.

  8. The project is Signature Avenues. It is in 6 Ac land with 10 +1+1 Floor construction abt 480 units in total. I stay East of Hyderabad near LB Nagar and do not have much knowledge about Kollur.

  9. We looked at few options in Kollur but market situation doesn’t look good. Kollur is next housing hub for sure. But it is far away from City. if there is an economy slump, places like Kollur and Mokila will take major hit. Properties which are close to city are safe bet in the current situation. Also big brands can sustain well in these difficult times. if it is a big brand Kollur should be fine. if it is unknown/new builder avoid it.

  10. I have always felt that electric vehicle revolution in India , would be through Two wheeler than Four wheeler. Scooters and bikes are the base of commute , not just in urban congregations but all over India, a fact easily deduce-able from the sheer volume of sales. In the Fy 2019, the number of two wheelers sold in India is approximately five times the number of four wheelers. ( 21.1 Million units vs 4.4 Million Units). And with 3.15 million units sold in the year 2019 , Honda Activa is the reigning monarch. So , this EV day , i want to explore the EV options who can challenge Honda Activa an

Sharing a post by Radhika Kundur: History of Gandikota from Wiki Gandikota is a village and historical fort on the right bank of the Penna river, 15 km from Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The fort was the center of power for various dynasties, such as the Kalyani Chalukyas, Pemmasani Kamma Nayakas, and the Golconda Sultanate. Gandikota was the capital of Pemmasani Kamma Nayakas for more than 300 years. Pemmasani Ramalinga Nayaka constructed the huge fort at Gandikota with 101 towers replacing the pre

  13. Yes, India is not ready for EV adoption yet. Imo, Govt gets only 28% Gst , and 14% Road tax as one time tax in purchase of a vehicle. But the taxes on fuel is a continuous revenue stream for both central and state govt. They only promote to an extent. And that too just for the sake of it, I don't think govt has real intention for this transition. Instead of govt, private players has to step up in building the infrastructure.

  14. We guys still have to wait until the EV market emerges partially atleast. Few models by TVS, Hero Electric and Emflux seemed promising when compared to the other brands during my visit to the Delhi AutoShow this year.

  15. Interesting post @LoneRanger.. Love to throw in my views to this thread. Correct me if I’m wrong.. I have been anticipating a lot about the influx of EV market in India and I was not surprised to see the spread of EVs during my AutoShow visit in Delhi Early this year.. Multiple brands have surely forayed their vision on EVs introduction into the market but in reality, I felt the country is still not ready for it. It is still in its development stage and I’m glad that government has also started promoting it though building of public Electric charging points are still due for

  18. Kollur pre-launch options are generally between 2200/- ~ 2500/- depending upon project/builder. Kollur is a very good option. Pre-launch in the current situation is a gamble. Construction progress can be slow compared to pre-COVID days. Many people I know have invested in different projects around Kollur. All in all, it is a gamble. It is still a good option. What is the price quoted?

  19. Wow nice trip. Reminds me about my trip in January 2020. One of the best place for relaxation. Grand canyon of India. But we noticed the place is becoming more commercial. AC tents they were charging some where around 3k to 4k. We stayed at Haritha. And it was decent one. If got opportunity, will surely plan trip in future.

  22. I got opportunity to visit this place. This is 14 km from Hadapsar towards diva ghat. Built around 1720 AD, Mastani Lake or Talav has a fascinating history attached to it. The lake was actually called the Wadki Talav. The name was later changed after the two love birds, Bajirao and Mastani kept visiting the spot and it was often considered to be Mastani Bai’s bathing spot. It is believed that the lake on the outskirts of Pune was frequently visited by Bajirao Peshwa and his second wife, Mastani when they went horseback riding. They would stop and take a swim in

  37. I think Shekar question is on under construction properties, not a pre launch. Under construction properties will have higher price, depending on the progress. Agree that Kollur is a good option but one need to tread carefully. Kollur is a decent option, If you have more budget consider projects in Kokapet. Housing is very active in this area.
